First Easter Egg Hunt!

Micah is finally old enough to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt. This year, our church organized the Egg Hunt right across the street from our Sunday service meeting place, at a park by a playground. I explained briefly to Micah how the game works. The idea seemed to click in right away. Micah had fun running around, and picked up quite a few eggs, all by himself.

As soon as the game was over, Micah began to notice the playground right by the park. His attention was shifted immediately to the sand pool. We lingered there for quite a while. Micah agreed to say goodbye to the sand pool only when daddy promised to take him to read some letters (alphabets) by the entrance of the park.

Thomas the Tank Engine Shirt

Micah loves to look at photos; and more recently, he understood that if he poses for you, he gets to enjoy the viewing of new pictures – right away on the screen. He would sit and wait for you to get ready. As soon as he saw or heard a click on the camera, he would come running, and in great excitement, grab your arm, urging, “Micah see, Micah see pictures …”.

He would even do a fake laugh for you – and here is one. Quite theatrical!

Well, I think I should just let him be himself… Here he is…!

Finally we have a nice picture of Micah in his Thomas the tank engine shirt – a gift from the Cordles last Christmas (along with a couple other nice outfits and book). And if Micah hears you mention where the shirt had come from, he would promptly add, “all the way from England!” Thomas the tank engine is all Micah dreams about these days. Thanks James and Daphne for the thoughtful and timely gift.

A snowy week

We have been having quite a lot of snow these last couple of days. Since it’s harder to be out and about, we tried to at least be out to play in the backyard:

We actually made it to Trader Joe’s just before the heavy snow fall on Monday. It was chilly so Micah had his Elmo hat on the whole time we were out. Micah’s hair got all wavy after we took off his hat upon reaching home:

A goofy moment just before lunch:

Our new hall bath is now 95% complete. Waiting for the shower door to be installed. Meanwhile, it is fully functional and we are already enjoying it a lot! Here’s a view of the shower stall with the floating vanity et al.
