Birthday continues…

Mum writes:

More birthday greetings arrived in the mail today…

“It’s from Maureen”, Micah yelled with excitement. This has truly been a “Thomas tank engine”-themed birthday!

Maureen’s note said this was mailed on Apr 26th from Southampton, UK (!!) I wonder what went wrong with the parcel earlier (which never arrived). This was not only a safe delivery, but incredibly speedy! This having said, you shouldn’t have bothered with a second attempt, Maureen. Thank you so much for the thoughtfulness… and for making Micah felt as if celebrating his birthday all over again.

A Little Visitor at Home Today

Mum writes:

We were excited to have Page and her baby Reese came for a visit today. It was close to Micah’s naptime (which explains the pyjamas), but it was very good to see them both for a little while. This was the second time they met. The first was over a year ago at Reese’s home when she was just a newborn! See how they have both grown!

First Easter Egg Hunt!

Mum writes:

Micah is finally old enough to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt. This year, our church organized the Egg Hunt right across the street from our Sunday service meeting place, at a park by a playground. I explained briefly to Micah how the game works. The idea seemed to click in right away. Micah had fun running around, and picked up quite a few eggs, all by himself.

As soon as the game was over, Micah began to notice the playground right by the park. His attention was shifted immediately to the sand pool. We lingered there for quite a while. Micah agreed to say goodbye to the sand pool only when daddy promised to take him to read some letters (alphabets) by the entrance of the park.
